Saying goodbye

Hello all ... thank you so much for continuing to find, review, and recommend my stories! It really has meant an awful lot to me over the years, and I'm very grateful for the experience I've gotten in the fan community, and also for the great friends I've made.

Most of these stories date back ten years or more, and unfortunately due to some complications I find that I need to take down most of the ones that are labeled as "adult". Maybe some time in the future I'll be able to re-post, but for now, it's the right thing to do. So if you find that you're not able to locate a story that you're looking for, please email me at juliefortune@gmail.com, and I will make it available to you.

I can't say that this is unexpected but I'll be sorry to see them go! I believe that I love every last one even if I haven't always been the best at telling you so.

I feel like you're bulldozing the seedy bar where we had our first drinks because this LJ is how we met. But I understand 100%.

Awww, it wasn't a seedy bar. It was a fun, slightly sleazy pickup joint, baby. And I'm going to miss it.

I love you!

I've been wondering for a while if this was coming soon. :(

It's a shame to see you go, even partially, but if it has to be done, it has to be done.

Whoa.
Sorry to hear about that, but yet it's understandable. Thanks so much for your contributions to the fandom at large. Good luck with your endeavours!

You're a wonderful writer and FWIW I understand completely. RL and fandom don't always work well together. I wish you the best with your next steps and thank you for all the fabulous fic so far. :D

Losing good fanfic hurts. :-( You wrote one of my all-time favorite D/V stories: "Lucky".

AO3 is accepting signups after their Ruby on Rails 3 upgrade yesterday:
http://archiveofourown.org/

Pick a pseudonym; most of us will remember the stories by the titles of your fic. You can always go back at a future date and append the penname you originally published under. Or not. AO3 is cool like that! You can also enter each story by under its original publish date, too!

Anyway, best wishes. :-D

Hey Sweetie, No Need to Say Goodbye Because...
Rox!

I hope you know I love you, and all your incarnations, ever since our 'Prey' days. I am sad I missed your trip to Portland since I literally am located 1.5 miles from the Powell's you hit last October (Special thank to Cat, from Rachel? Hon, You are seriously demented unless Cat has taken on a life of his own that no one knows about ::giggle::).

I had the flu, and until this week was still in deep denial about turning frickin' 40. My best friends are 50, or 60.... Yeah, but 40... ::whimper:: Kiera said I will get over it.

If you place an Adult Content Warning on your journal, or Adult Concepts Within, no one should be able to complain about the fic. Or, you can friend-lock</i> stories that are more explicit, include them in an index, and and if people really want to read them at least they know what they are getting themselves in for?

::HUGS::

Plus, I can send you an invite to Dreamwidth. You will like it there. A lot less restrictions. I can't afford the pay journals since I'm into LJ for life, but with Dreamwidth, you can import your entire Livejournal and everything. It's all very nifty how now info is lost.

Never Say Goodbye, only See You Later!

Talk With You Soon!
